A devoted Emirati, with a great and deeply rooted love for her country and her people, Sheikha Mozah is proud and extremely grateful to be serving as the first female pilot in a police force in the UAE – an active member of the Dubai Police.

The thrill-seeking adventurer in her joined the police forces with her dutiful nature in 2019. It wasn’t long before Sheikha Mozah had set her eyes on a new goal which is joining the Dubai Police Air Wing. Therefore, she set time aside to return to ground school and, with focused determination, completed her helicopter training at the Horizon Flight Academy in Al Ain.

Subsequently, she had to achieve her AW139 type training in Abu Dhabi, with military training at Dubai Police Academy the final hurdle.

“Thanks to the support and direction of our leaders and the amazing support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, I recently graduated as First Lieutenant Pilot of the Dubai Police Air Wing.”

Sheikha Mozah considers her role to be exceptionally rewarding, being able to help her community while doing something she loves with a passion. Dubai Police Air Wing monitors the skies above Dubai and provides a highly trained and efficient support to Dubai Police. No two days are the same for Sheikha Mozah as her duties range from security patrols to search and rescue missions with the air bound force.

“Every flight is a new experience, where I get to learn on the job all the time. I truly hope that my journey can serve as inspiration and encouragement to all the young females still searching for a path, and prove to them that there is space for women in serving our country.”
